About Me

I'm Nedim — most people call me Ned. I'm a Cloud Engineer with a deep passion for Linux, DevOps, and building reliable infrastructure.

I've spent years working hands-on with AWS cloud services, containerization, server administration, and deployment automation. This blog is where I share what I've learned — practical guides, tutorials, and cheat sheets born from real-world experience.

Whether it's setting up RAID controllers, recovering hacked WordPress sites, configuring Nginx reverse proxies, or deploying containers on AWS, I write about the things I actually do in my day-to-day work.

What I Write About

AWS

EC2, Redshift, App Runner, Lightsail, containerization with ECS and EKS, Terraform infrastructure

Linux

Debian administration, LVM, Zimbra, Rsnapshot backups, security patching, Nginx

DevOps

Capistrano deployments, Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, automation

Security

Malware detection with ClamAV, WordPress recovery, spam cleanup, server hardening

Code

Ruby, PHP, object-oriented patterns, scripting

Philosophy

The best way to learn is by doing. The best way to solidify knowledge is by writing it down.

Tools I Use

AWS Docker Terraform Linux Nginx Ruby Git Vim Bash GitHub Actions
